A note-taking application which saves everything to a master file.
FreeText is a personal note-taking application which is similar in appearance to Windows' notepad.exe application. That is, the interface is simple, familiar and clean.
FreeText's main goal is to provide a place to add text, diagrams and images (like PNG, BMP, GIF, JPG, etc.) hassle-free. It also supports tables and comments. All of the graphical, non-text elements may be added simply from the File menu.
The program distinguishes itself from other text editing programs in that it saves all of your data into one file so that you're not having to always find information from misplaced files. Everything is saved into a master file. Also unlike programs like WordPad or Microsoft Word, text formatting is not an option.
FreeText is completely free and does offer advantages to those who lead a life that doesn't put much emphasis on organization. Thus putting all of your eggs in one basket is the main feature here.
If you're looking for a program to save temporary information, then FreeText accomplishes that goal.
